WOLRD INFO CONTAINS SPOILERS!

TERMS
  • Goddess
  • The deity who oversaw the peace of the world a long time ago.

  • Vile God

  • Faires

  • Fencers
  • Fencers are sword specialists who fight to collect furies. Once a fencer has released the seal on a furie where a fairy resided, they form an unbreakable bond. Fencers are unable to bond with more than one fairy.

  • Furies
  • A fury isn't a typical weapon. Because fairies are linked to them, a fury is capable of powerful attack combos as well as magic. If all one hundred furies are gathered to revive The Goddess, a wish will be granted. Alternatively, the Vile God could also be revived. In the game's context, for world domination. Furies who have bonded with fencers cannot be used to revive the gods. This is likely because the pact they formed with the fencer is still in effect.

  • Fairy Link
  • When a fairy links with its fury.

  • "Fairize"
  • Can only be executed when the situation has high tension. Upon Fairizing, the fencer transforms, and essentially merging a fencer's power with a fairy's to achieve Fury Form.

  • Fury Form Is the combined power of a fencer and a fairy allowing the fencer's overall combat strength to increase drastically.

  • Resonance Effect
  • When two furies resonate with each other, a mysterious power is exerted that's known as the Resonance Effect.

  • Dorfa Corporation
  • The Dorfa Corporation is a relatively young company headquartered in Zelwinds. They provide many services such as food, real estate, and travel destinations. Apparently the company has grown drastically in the last ten years, with some rising stars now serving directly under the president, Hanagata. Thanks to Dorfa's influence, Zelwinds has also prospered. However, their influence on Zelwinds' government is virtually nonexistent. Dorfa is also involved in many philanthropic enterprises, such as managing orphanages and funding affordable housing projects. For this reason, Dorfa is beloved by the public.

HISTORY CONTAINS SPOILERS!
"Long ago, when light and darkness still bore life. The Goddess emerged from the light. The entity known as the Vile God burst forth from the darkness. A fierce battle ensued between the deities. The light tore the darkness to shreds; darkness corroded the light, and eventually both sides lost their spark of life. And so, the Goddess and the Vile God fell into deep, eternal slumber. Like a dying star emitting a final burst of light before imploding into darkness."

"Since then, much time has passed..."

[ Prologue ]

Fang is first introduced snoozing in a cellar where his newly joined fairy partner wakes him up. Not only did he end up here from petty bread theft, (thinking Eryn would handle the expense for him) but he also wasn't inclined to leave because he was under the impression he could eat and sleep whenever he wanted, intending to spend the rest of his life in the slammer. That is, until he found out the punishment for theft (that being a hundred sharp slaps on the wrist) which would cause his hands to be swollen preventing him from eating. It was only then that he no longer wanted to live in jail. During his escape, Fang and Eryn happened upon some guards, and Fang resorted to violence to break his way free. Fang was about to bail again, not wanting anything to do with reviving the Goddess. It wasn't until Eryn mentioned the lost of her memories that he eventually reconsidered because she saved him. He decides to return the favor by helping her get her memories back.

The two eventually make it to The City of Zelwinds. While in Zelwinds, Fang is informed a little more about the goddess and a tip to why Eryn wishes to revive her. During their conversation about collecting furies a young girl approached them, feeding Fang compliments. The young girl introduces herself as Lola, a Jill-of-all-Trades, though she primarily sells information. Interested in making a quick buck, she offers to sell the information of where they could locate a fury. Despite the "outrageous" price, they cave and buy it, leading them to Sol Plains.

[ I'm a Low-Level Hoodlum ]

The pair make it to Sol Plains and quickly locate where the fury was lodged. They collected the fury, but before any progress could be made, Fang caught the scent of tea and darted where food might be. There he encountered Tiara a fellow fencer, despite the fact that the food trap was overly obvious, Fang had some of the tea anyway, causing his body to paralyze. Leaving him powerless over her, she stole the fury they had obtained. Tiara, however, could not leave him in the plains like that in good conscious. She allowed him the antidote that would cure him in roughly five minutes. Just enough time to let her escape. Eventually they catch up Tiara once the paralysis wears off and reencounter her having difficulties with a hoodlum who wants to steal the fury she stole. The thug was given the impression they were together, and Fang was roped into dealing with him. After witnessing Fang's successfulness in the fight, Tiara decides to recruit them to her party. She mentions that a relative of her runs an in, and is a five-star chef. It was enough to convince Fang to let her join and the fact that it is better to have more people to their party.

[ Is This Really...!?]

After their unfortunate encounter in Sol Plains, the group heads back to Zelwinds where they gather at Sunflower Inn. Naturally the first thing on Fang's mind was the five star food he was promised. To his dismay, it was only the inn's manager who's last name is Five-Star.

They move to a more private setting in one the rooms where Tiara wishes to discuss with them. She asks them to close there eyes, upon opening them, they arrive in what appears to be a different realm, though it is described as a waking dream. In this realm the Goddess and the Vile God can be seen plain as day, sealed away. Here they learn from Tiara, that they must collect furies from their reality and transfer them to the dormant furies that seal away the goddess.

Lola reencounters them on the streets baiting them with more information. After the sum is paid, she mentions that a fury could be found in the Yatagan Lava Flows.

[ Info: Yatagan Lava Flows/Just Put Up With Her For Now ]

Rather than wander aimlessly to locate where the next fury would be, Tiara suggested that they use a fury they currently have to locate it. By stabbing it into the ground, it would pulse like a sonar toward another fury's coordinates.

Upon arriving to Yatagan, Tiara had ordered Fang to slay every monster in her wake. Naturally Fang didn't take kindly to being bossed around and retorted with an insult. Along the way, Fang and Eryn pull aside to have a private conversation about Tiara and her attitude. The consensus of the conversation was to put up with her until they finished collecting the furies.

They eventually found the fury, and without thinking, Fang went up to it and grabbed without thinking there was a trap. (Because it was easy to find.) Fang activating the trap by snatching the fury, leaving Tiara to deactivate it with a device disguised as a rock. Before they could take their leave, a monster lingering in the area challenged them, forcing them into a battle they won.

[ A New Goal/SO COLD/Quick Wit ]

After a goodnight's rest, Tiara ushers the group into productivity. Despite the fact that they wish to sleep in, they head back into the streets where they buy information regarding another fury from Lola. Based on her intel, there is another fury that can be found in the Katticus Ice Caves.

Upon arriving to Katticus, which had a difficult entrance in the first place, they found it to be as cold as the name. Not even being there for more the five minutes, the group was already shivering. Shortly thereafter, they're greeted with a group of monsters. Followed with a victory despite their dulled ability due to the cold, the group advance further into the cave where they find their next fury. Prior to their streak of successes, the group did not fair so well against the monster lurking in the ice caves. Eryn resorted to shrinking to a typical fairy size and stealing the fury from within the monster. Once they had obtained what they came for, the group retreated back to the city.

[ Chapter XX ]

Tiara receives a letter/invitation from the Dorfa Corporation to attend a party that night. Unlike Eryn, whom wants to desperately go, Fang had no such interest. The only reason he agreed to attend was because Tiara bribed him mentioning there was going to be delicious food there.
